What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are sent from the web server to your browser. They may be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server – such as the Google Analytics cookies.
Cookies come in two varieties: “persistent” or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie stores a text file sent by the server to your browser which will be stored remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie will expire as soon as you close your browser.
We use Google Analytics to analyse visitors to the site. Google Analytics generates information using cookies which we use to create reports about how the site is used. There’s more info about Google cookies here.
Blocking and Deleting Cookies
Most browsers allow you to block cookies, either globally or by individual site. And, all browsers enable you to delete cookies stored on your PC. The method varies by browser so check your Help menu for details.
